On the occasion of the presentation of the new features of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PlayStation 5, the new face of Peter Parker.
The variation from the original game is made particularly evident by the vision of a video comparison between Marvel’s Spider Man on PS4 and PS5. Apparently, however, part of the community did not welcome with positivity the new aspect of the protagonist, coming to express his disappointment in such a way as to generate a response from the development team. The replica of Insomniac Games comes through the voice of the Creative Director Bryan Intihar, who posted a brief statement from the pages of their official Twitter account. Below is the content of the message:
“Today’s news regarding Peter Parker’s new face has surprised many of you, and here at Insomniac we fully understand your reaction. Gee, even me took a while to get used to Peter’s new look. But in discussing the future of the franchise and the move to PlayStation 5, it quickly became obvious to try to offer even more realistic characters involved the need to find a better face match for actor Yuri Lowenthal, which we all love as Peter.
We are just as fond of this character as you are, and we didn’t make this change lightly. As we did during the development of Marvel’s Spider-Man, we will continue to read your comments and listen, and will always look for ways to improve every aspect of the game. At the same time, hope you can trust us regarding the fact that we believe this is the best choice for the future of the franchise and for our future goals related to this beloved Marvel character“.
