Marvel Studios: Is Phase 4 a Big Risk for the MCU?

Avengers: Endgame marked the end of an era in beauty. Epic conclusion, this decisive part of Phase 3 closed the chapter of a book told for more than 10 years. And after ? Yes Marvel does not intend to stop in such a good way, future projects will have nothing similar to what has been shown to us so far. And that may be a good thing because risk taking is always appreciated, but it will also be decisive for the future of the franchise. The Avengers team is no longer after the loss of Captain America, Iron Man and Black Widow. As for the Hulk, one wonders if he will return to the franchise. The MCU will therefore have to find the happy medium between preserving the soul of the franchise without evoking too much the past, and making attractive its new characters presented in new plots.

Captain marvel

Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange 2… Phase 4 will focus more on spin-offs and sequels. But after all, it’s sort of always the way Marvel worked. Except that now, the common thread is no longer the same: no more Avengers proper, a Captain Marvel still as much criticized (we can therefore wonder if the second part will be as controversial as the first) and strong characters who are gone forever. With the arrival of the Fantastic 4, X-Mens, Young Avengers and new characters never before shown on the big screen, Marvel has no interest in missing. Will the franchise succeed in retaining the soul of the previous Phases while creating a surprise with future projects? The bets have been made !
