It was very cozy again Chateau Meiland. Martien and Erica pledged eternal loyalty to each other 35 years ago, so Maxime and Montana thought it was time for a surprise. “Of course they have been married three times, but we always keep that first wedding day”, explains Maxime. She does not know exactly when that was. “I think they have been married for 30, 35 years. 40? Maybe 50.” To celebrate, they decide to take a trip and surprise their parents with a good bottle of champagne during lunch.

Whether the champagne is a good idea, the Meiland girls do not know. Erica can’t handle it very well. “She’s also called ‘the lama’ in Noordwijkerhout, because she spits very often”, Maxime screams. Once in the restaurant, Martien falls. “Oh, I forgot,” he admits. Erica still knows exactly how it all works. “35 years ago, it is something (…) It is very beautiful.” Martien finds it ‘unbelievable’ that it has been so long. “To the next divorce”, Maxime cheers at the end.

The viewers at home were also in shock, but not so much from Maxime and Montana’s surprise.

What also came as a huge surprise to Martien was his Televizier Talent nomination. The flamboyant lord of the castle has ‘one foot in the grave’ and can hardly believe it, as can be seen in the video below.
