Earlier this week it was announced that Marthe from K3 is infected with the corona virus. And that’s a bad thing because tonight the final of K2 is looking for K3. And so she can’t be there, or at least not completely.

Yesterday Gert Verhulst spoke of an ’emergency plan’ to let Marthe be there after all. That emergency plan has become a video call. In the digital age, in which everyone has to make video calls every day, this is not illogical. “I think it’s terrible that I have to miss it,” Marthe said at the start of the show. But she does not feel sick and speaks of happiness. When she is told that she looks good despite her infection, she cheerfully answers that it is due to the make-up.
It was also clarified for the viewers that Marthe is indeed at home, as prescribed by the corona rules. The black background, that’s just Marthe’s rolled-out blinds.
Who would have thought that Marthe would only watch tonight, is wrong by the way. Because even if she is in isolation at home, she will also sing along.
