Marquez paralyzed his eye nerve, MotoGP racers are busy giving support

Racers MotoGP many gave their support to Marc Marquez who suffered from paralysis of the optic nerve as a result of an accident.

Repsol Honda said Marquez’s condition had not improved after an accident last week which forced him to miss the Algarve MotoGP.

At first, Honda said Marquez suffered a mild concussion after the accident. However, it was recently revealed that the rider had eye problems and had to miss the Valencia MotoGP.

“Examinations carried out on Marc Marquez today after the accident, have confirmed the rider has diplopia and has suffered a fourth right nerve palsy with involvement of the right superior oblique muscle,” Dalmau was quoted as saying on the official Honda Racing Corporation website.

Launching Medscape, diplopia is a subjective complaint that makes sufferers see two images. In layman’s language, this disease is also known as double vision.

This is a big blow for Honda because Marquez is back in achieving his best performance in MotoGP. Prior to his absence at the Algarve MotoGP, Marquez won three podiums in the last four races.


However, fate said otherwise Marquez had an accident that made him absent from the 2021 Valencia MotoGP. The Spaniard is also confirmed to have to miss the test after the 2021 MotoGP at the Jerez Circuit, 18-19 November.

Marquez’s injury also invited reactions from MotoGP racers. They are busy providing support to Marquez so that he can quickly recover and return to the track.

“Keep the spirit, the best racer!” wrote Pol Espargaro on Marquez’s Instagram. Alex Rins also wrote, “Keep your spirits up guys!! Don’t think about anything but step on the gas!”

“Cheer up, Mark!” wrote Dani Pedrosa. Keep the spirit Marc,” said Miguel Oliveira.

“Get well soon Marc! You are a fighter,” wrote Stefan Bradl, who will be Marquez’s replacement rider at the Valencia MotoGP.
