Maroc Telecom improves its half-yearly indicators

Maroc Telecom Group improves its half-yearly indicators. The leading operator in the telecom sector posted turnover of DH 18.3 billion, up 2.7%, “but stable on a comparable basis”, according to the results published by the Group on Monday July 20. This performance, achieved in a context of crisis, is mainly due to the development of Data Mobile and Mobile Money services internationally and the development of Fixed Data in Morocco, explains the Group.

Operating profit before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) thus reached 9.6 billion DH at the end of June 2020, up 2.1% (+ 1.4% on a comparable basis) “thanks to the improvement in the gross margin rate of 1.6 pt “. The EBITDA margin rate was 52.4%, up 0.7 pts on a comparable basis. As for the adjusted operating profit (EBITA), it amounted to DH 5.8 billion, up 0.2% on a comparable basis. In this context, the Group share of Net Profit (RNPG) reached DH 3 billion, marking a decrease of 0.5%. On a comparable basis, however, it recorded a slight improvement of 1.5%.
