Serious allegations against a married man from Marl. He has not yet commented on it.
What six months ago in a Apartment in Marl-Drewer should have happened is hard to imagine. At the Essen regional court the prosecutor speaks of special severe child sexual abuse. But in court it will also be about destroyed trust, suffering and deep human depths.
The accused is a 52-year-old man who is married to a second marriage. His wife is also on Tuesday Process start in the negotiation room the 24th criminal chamber in Essen regional court published. When her husband is handcuffed to the dock by two police officers, she looks serious. Later she shows him two fingers. “Two more days,” she calls out to him. Then she obviously wants to visit him. He also briefly raises his hand. A shy greeting.
Marl: What happened that night in June?
The serious allegation goes back to the night of June 1, 2020. The defendant’s niece had lived with him and his wife at the time. Because she quarreled with her parents, the indictment says. The 13-year-old is said to have watched films until after midnight. She actually had to go to school the next day, but it was still corona lockdown.
At some point, when she was finally in bed, the defendant is said to have laid down next to her. The prosecution assumes that he was completely naked, the girl is said to have been wearing summer pajamas. The indictment speaks of immoral contact, then also of unprotected sexual intercourse, defloration and pain.
Marler is arrested the next day
The defendant was arrested the very next day and has been in residence ever since Custody. What he has to say about the allegations is not yet known. He did not want to comment on the first day of the trial. But what has to do with the fact that his real defense attorney was not there, but only a lawyer who stepped in.
The Essen judges have scheduled three more days of trial until January 13th. If the allegations are true, the 52-year-old Marler will definitely face a prison sentence.
In September, a similar trial against a Marler ended in a surprising verdict.
A case of sexual assault that should have occurred in Marl also came to court in January.
