Italy appealed against the decision to acquit the Ukrainian National Guard Vitaly Markiv, who was accused of involvement in the murder of Italian journalist Andrea Rocchelli in Donbass in 2014.

Therefore, of course, it left its mark. I know that the prosecution has addressed already to the cassation court, therefore, this story is not over yet, “the National Guard explained.
Markiva detained in Bologna June 30, 2017 on suspicion of involvement in the murder Italian photojournalist Andrea Rocchelli and his translator, Russian citizen Andrei Mironov in the area of Slavyansk… According to the investigation, being on Mount Karachun, Markiv allegedly transmitted information about the whereabouts of the journalists.

Ukrainian law enforcement officials believe that the deaths of the Italian and the Russian were due to shelling from the Russian terrorist forces.
