Markets without trend ahead of US employment

The New York stock market ended slightly higher on Wednesday as investors weighed inflation risks in anticipation of key economic data at the weekend, while the group said “same stocks” continued to post gains. The Dow Jones index gained 0.07%, or 25.07 points, to 34,600.38 points. The larger S & P-500 gained 6.08 points, or 0.14%, to 4,208.12 points. The Nasdaq Composite, for its part, advanced 19.85 points (0.14%) to 13,756.33 points.

The trend is generally positive in the Asian markets this morning. The Nikkei 225 gains 0.49% on the Tokyo Stock Exchange andShanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index climbs by 0.38%, while the Hang Seng loose 0.40%.
