Marcus Mumford will release his first solo album in September and in the forward single “Cannibal” he sings about a secret he has carried with him for nearly 30 years, the fact that he was sexually abused as a 6-year-old child.
It is an event in his life that, until recently, he had never talked about with anyone, not even his own mother. She only found out when she first heard the song at her son’s home during the corona crisis.
