MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is poised to deliver his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) this Monday, signaling a pivotal moment in his administration.
In a social media update, the President offered a glimpse into his preparations, stating, “All set to deliver the message of Bagong Pilipinas.” This address marks the fourth time President Marcos will present this crucial national report. With three years remaining in his term and significant public expectations to fulfill ambitious promises, this SONA is anticipated to be a defining moment.
Earlier media engagements saw President Marcos indicate that his upcoming SONA would diverge from previous ones, noting, “the state of the nation today is different from what it was last year and the year before that.” He elaborated that the focus would be on social and economic initiatives he has launched, with the aim of their continuation beyond his term in 2028.
“We will be talking about mainly the same things, about the social projects of the government for people in need,” Marcos stated. he further added, “we will talk about the programs that we have initiated and will continue to promote and endorse until the end of this term. Hopefully,it will continue after my term.So, that’s what we expect from the SONA.”
