Marco Asensio Confirms Departure from Real Madrid and Possible Move to PSG

Striker Marco Asensio confirmed on Saturday that he would leave Real Madrid at the end of his contract on June 30, and local newspapers suggested that he might move to Paris Saint-Germain next season.

Asensio said on social media: It’s time for me to make a difficult decision. I decided to take a new direction in my career with new goals.

Asensio, who joined the capital’s team in 2014, considered that playing for Real Madrid was a childhood dream and he enjoyed because he had “this privilege of realizing this dream over all these years.”

Real Madrid issued a statement thanking his player’s efforts, saying: Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and attachment to Marco Asensio, the player who defended the club’s emblem for seven seasons. The player entered the history of our club because he was part of a squad that witnessed one of our most glorious eras.

Asensio, 27, won 17 titles with Real Madrid, including the Champions League 3 times, and played 285 matches, scoring 61 goals.
