Opportunity Marc Marquez to get good results on French MotoGP disappeared after he crashed. The Honda Rider was annoyed with himself.

Marquez started the French MotoGP race at the Le Mans Circuit on Sunday (16/5/2021) evening WIB, from sixth position. He had taken the pole position from Fabio Quartararo when the riders changed their bikes when it rained on lap five.

It will be Marquez’s first time leading a MotoGP race since July 2020 at Jerez. However, the 28-year-old racer only lasted four laps in pole position before falling on lap ninth.

Marquez was able to resume racing in 18th position and slowly moved up to 11th place. But Marquez again crashed on lap 18 and could not continue the race.

Marc Marquez very disappointed with the second accident. The eight-time world champion was upset that a second crash could have been avoided had he not lost focus himself.

“I just rode the bike and didn’t think about the track conditions. So the second crash was something much better if I avoided it. But overall a positive weekend.”

“Yes, I was most disappointed with the second crash because it was unnecessary. I was driving fast, maybe too fast, and the rider in front was slower than I was after the first crash.”

“I rode the bike, thought about arms and other things. On that lap I just told the team that I was going to the garage to change tires because I believed the track was ready.”

“But anyway, there you have it. I was the most disappointed with the second crash. The first crash could have happened. Many riders crashed today and it can happen,” he said. Marc Marquez.
