To monitor the local outbreak of the new coronavirus, Sciensano scientists have a number of warning thresholds. One of those thresholds is the number of confirmed infections per 100,000 inhabitants. The weekly average of this so-called incidence must not exceed 20.
On the map below, the municipalities that have already crossed that threshold will turn red or dark red. The municipalities with a lower weekly average are indicated in light red.
