On Friday, infection was discovered at Kjeller school, Brånås school and SFP, Skjetten school and adult education, and on Saturday infection was found at a number of other schools and kindergartens.
According to Romerikes Blad there will be talk of as many as twelve kindergartens and schools with infection.
Lillestrøm mayor Jørgen Vik (Labor Party) tells the newspaper that he is concerned about how this will affect the life situation of children and young people in the municipality.
– We have wanted to protect children and young people as best we can. Let them have a kind of normality in everyday life. We now know that FHI and the Ministry of Health are working with the school supervisors who will be published during the next week, Vik says.
According to Lillestrøm municipality website 38 new corona cases were registered in the municipality on Saturday.
