sumedangKOTA – A total of 14 Puskesmas in Sumedang district have been trained by the health office to help people living with HIV AIDS (PLWHA) get medicine.
The 14 health centers are Jatinangor, Tomo, Darmaraja, Jatinunggal, Paseh, Buahdua, Sukamantri, Cimalaka Ganeas, Tanjungsari, Situ, Kotakaler, Rancakalong and Haurgombong.
Sumedang Health Bureau P2P Head Reny K. Anton said that Sumedang Health Bureau received a program of services and therapeutic support from the Ministry of Health for this activity.
Reny hopes that this program can be implemented in the next month. “No later than the beginning of 2023,” Reny explained to the media crew on Tuesday (4/10).
Reny said that with the existence of drug services for PLWHA in almost all areas of Sumedang, it is hoped that PLWHA will no longer give up taking drugs.
Of course, so far, to get the PLWHA drugs, you have to get them at the lotus clinic of Sumedang hospital. Quite a few people living with HIV, due to long distances and also the problem of transport costs, many people living with HIV stop taking drugs.
“So, by approaching the services to PLWHA, it is hoped that in the future PLWHA will be able to take medications regularly and no one will drop out in the middle of the road,” he hoped. (alone)
