Preliminarily it was estimated that, at around 1:50 in the afternoon, the man let go to move to another place on the bridge and, at that moment, for reasons that remain under investigation, something happened to him that he fell. His body, reported the New York Daily News, was found very close to the intersection of Pike Slip and South Street.
