Manga, anime, cinema and smaller games: Hideo Kojima has no shortage of projects for his studio

After Death Stranding, what can we expect from Kojima Productions, the studio of Hideo Kojima? Well, obviously, a lot!

In an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu, translated by DualShockers, the famous creator, accompanied by his illustrator colleague Yoji Shinkawa, confided in his future plans for the studio … and it must be admitted that it looks quite varied, thank you!

First, the two men said they would like to work on a manga together. Shinkawa said he “likes being able to touch things directly” and that in this sense a “tangible” project like a manga could be interesting for the duo.

In the same vein, Kojima stressed that he would also possibly like to work on an anime with his illustrator colleague, with the specific aim of integrating the latter’s concepts of “mechas”.

In doing so, the designer behind the series Metal Gear Solid reiterated, as he did earlier in 2019, his will to make cinema.

Finally, Kojima said in the interview that his studio was planning to launch the development of several games, including a major title.

According to the Japanese, the other video game projects of Kojima Productions would however be smaller and risk adopting less traditional formats. These could therefore be delivered in the form of episodes or only in digital version.

Might as well say that Hideo Kojima is not close to retiring!

And you, what project of the creator intrigues you the most?
