Manchester United press charges against ‘Football Manager’ for using the wrong badge

The English team said the company did it “ostentatious throughout the game“and, in addition, instead of using the official team kick, he replaced it with”a simplified logo with white and red stripes“.

The company responded to the complaint and explained that it is a “legitimate reference to the team” in a football context and that it has been used since 1992 without “the claimant has complained“.

United claimed their badge is “an asset that has value“and that when the user sees the name of Manchester United, he expects to see it with his official badge, and that the use made by the company is not lawful.

Football Manager is a squad management game, in which the user can choose a team and lead it on the field, making transfers, scheduling training and other activities to try to progress as a coach.
