Manchester United has to miss flavor for longer: operation for Pogba

Manchester United seems to have to miss Paul Pogba longer. The Frenchman has been struggling for three months with a somewhat mysterious ankle injury and trainer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer indicates after the 2-0 loss against Arsenal that there is a big possibility that the midfielder needs surgery.

Before the game, Solskjaer did not want to talk too much about the injury of Pogba and he indicated that the midfielder would be out for a few more weeks. “Maybe three or four weeks, I don’t know”, he recorded before the game in conversation with BT Sport. After a long absence, Pogba returned to the selection from the end of September 2019 last week, but therefore has a subsequent setback.

After the game, the coach was again confronted with the question of how long Pogba’s absence would last, but this time he made a different revelation. “He has been advised by ‘his people’ to get operated on and maybe he will do that”, says Solskjaer.

It would mean that United would have to miss its flavor in midfield even longer. Pogba has only played at the start of the season so far, but it is not entirely clear what exactly is wrong with his ankle.
