Man who pushed woman in front of Brussels metro ‘remembers nothing’ | Abroad

The 23-year-old Frenchman gave a woman unknown to him at a Brussels metro station an apparently deliberate push, causing her to fall on the track, in front of an oncoming metro. He was able to use the emergency brake just in time. Benjamin P. fled over the tracks, but was caught not much later. The woman suffered a broken shoulder.

The surveillance images on which the push was recorded made the rounds on social media at lightning speed and caused a lot of stir. P. was arrested for attempted murder and was arraigned on Wednesday. The investigating judge has him examined by a psychiatrist.
