Man Throws $200,000 in Small Denominations on Highway, Causes Chaos in Oregon Traffic

In Oregon in the United States, a father wanted to donate money, but he used a method that was original to say the least. Indeed, the 38 year old man went on the highway, he opened the window of his door at full speed and he launched 200,000 dollars, i.e. 182,000 euros in small denominationson the road !

Dozens of motorists stopped to try to catch some of this providential windfall. At night, we even went there with a flashlight to find a forgotten ticket and the next day, some were still looking for it.

Wasted effortexplained Lieutenant Jim Andrews to our colleagues from ABC: “They couldn’t find any tickets, so the first people to stop to pick them up did a good job of cleaning up!”.

The catch: the man in question has no did not ask permission from his family. Since the money was in a shared account, he had every right to take the $200,000 and dump it in the street, but his relatives are furious. They are asking people who have collected tickets to return them to the Oregon State Police because they need them.
