Man survives over 20 days in icy wilderness

-

Rescue workers rescued a man from Alaska’s wintry wilderness after over 20 days. After his hut burned down, Tyson Steele waited at temperatures down to -25 degrees and surrounded by meter-high snow – until finally rescue came.

In the US state of Alaska, a man survived alone in the wild for about three weeks. Tyson Steele’s hut burned down in mid-December. Cut off from civilization, the American found a way to withstand the freezing temperatures of down to -25 degrees Celsius.

A friend of Steele alarmed the police because he hadn’t heard from the 30-year-old for a long time. Two officers then went on a helicopter search – with success.

The incredible moment when the rescuers spotted the man can be seen above in the Video,
