A judicial investigation of the count of intentional homicide was opened on Monday August 8, 2022 after the death on Friday of a man stabbed in the middle of the street in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val de Marne), indicated the parquet floor of Créteil, requested by theAFP.
The suspect, a man born in 1993 in Afghanistan, will not be presented to the investigating judge immediately because he is still hospitalized under psychiatric constraint, said the public prosecutor.
The unidentified victim
The victim had been seriously injured by stabbing, Friday August 5 around 8 p.m., and his vital prognosis was engaged, had detailed a police source to theAFP. The man was later pronounced dead.
This victim is not identified at this time, it is “probably from a homeless person (homeless) of foreign origin, but without certainty”, a source familiar with the matter told theAFP.
The suspect arrested was “obviously in a state of alcoholism”probably homeless and with “a potential ‘psy’ problem”according to a source familiar with the matter.
