A man looking 50 to 60 years old was today run over by a train that circulated in a section of the Northern Line next to the Aguda station in Vila Nova de Gaia, said a source from the GNR.
The source told the Lusa news agency that the man was hit by a suburban train running south-north, in circumstances yet to be determined.
Also contacted by the Lusa agency, CP – Comboios de Portugal said that rail circulation takes place in that area for some time on a single track.
Civil protection sent six men supported by three vehicles to the scene.
