The man in his 20s from Tønsberg is charged with having shot his ex-partner’s dog with a shotgun.
According to the indictment, the man shot the dog with three shotgun blasts so that it died.
The incident happened in Tønsberg in January this year, and the dog was tied on a long line outside the house when the man shot it.
According to the indictment, the motive for killing the dog was that the man was angry with his former partner.
The man is accused of breaching the Animal Welfare Act, for causing damage and for reckless behaviour.
The case against the man will go to Vestfold District Court in October.
