In the center of the town of Beuningen in Gelderland, a dead man was killed in a shooting incident on Monday morning. The possible perpetrators have fled.
The incident happened around 8.30 am at Thorbeckeplein. The victim was resuscitated on the spot and then taken to the hospital by ambulance, after which he died.
The police report on the basis of eyewitnesses that a cream-colored van with two men may have been driven away. Citizens who report suspects are urged not to approach them themselves, but to call 112. The police are also looking for more tips and information.
The area around Thorbeckeplein has been cordoned off for research.
