Man dangles from Trump Tower for 13 hours, streams himself and demands conversation with President | Abroad

The man, aged between 20 and 30, according to local media, hung from the 16th floor of the downtown Chicago skyscraper from 5:30 PM (local time) on Sunday evening. According to local media, he was in danger of falling to pieces if he did not gain access to President Trump.

Later on Sunday evening, a video appeared online showing the man according to local media. He dangles from an orange cord, films himself and also shows the Chicago River several dozen meters below. The man claims in the video to be a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. The man also points his camera upwards for a short time, where officers talk to the man to get him safely back on the roof. The man threatens to cut the rope with a hefty knife if officers try to pull him up. He appears to have professional climbing equipment.

According to the local police chief, the negotiators did everything they could to get the man to safety. That worked after 13 hours on him. After he was lifted up, officers arrested the activist. The man is said to be unharmed, but was taken away by ambulance.
