Man confesses to another murder just before execution | Abroad

David Neal Cox, 50, had been sentenced to death for the murder of his wife in 2010. Just before his execution on November 17, David Neal Cox told his lawyers that he also killed his 40-year-old sister-in-law Felicia Cox in 2007.

Cox gave detailed instructions on where to find her remains. In a press release on Monday, the state’s Office of Capital Post-Conviction Counsel said Cox was “deeply sorry and no longer wishing to leave Felicia Cox’s family in uncertainty.”

Weddle said at the press conference that Cox has long been a suspect in Felicia Cox’s disappearance. Her daughter, Amber Miskelly, attended the press conference. She was 18 years old when her mother was reported missing. She was silent as Weddle spoke, only wiping her tears.

David Neal Cox was the first inmate to be executed in Mississippi in nine years.
