“Man arrested for killing woman he met on dating app in North Jakarta”

A woman with the initials T (43), who was found dead with her body wrapped in a sack under the Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road, North Jakarta (Jakut). Police said the perpetrator, Volly Willy Aritonang (54), killed the victim by smothering him with a blanket.

“Volly WA covered the victim with a blanket that had been washed so that the victim died,” said Head of Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Titus Yudho Ully when contacted, Sunday (28/5/2023).

After the victim was completely dead, the perpetrator then wrapped T’s body using a sack. Then together with the perpetrator M Furqon (52), Volly dumped T’s body under the Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road.



“Killing by smothering the victim, wrapping it, and throwing it away,” he said.

The two perpetrators have now been arrested by the police. The perpetrators were arrested by a joint team of the Sub Directorate of Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya and Polres Metro Jakarta. The team was led by AKBP Titus Yudho Ully, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Iverson Manossoh and Head of Unit 2 of the Resmob Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Maulana Mukarom.

Victims of the Perpetrator’s Affair

Polda Metro Jaya Dirkrimum Kombes Hengki Haryadi said, based on Volly Willy’s confession, he became acquainted with victim T through a dating application.

“Volly Willy Aritonang admitted that he knew the victim on the dating application Similar,” said Hengki.

AKBP Yudho said T was killed by Volly because the victim asked the perpetrator to marry. However, because the perpetrator was married, the perpetrator finally decided to kill the victim.
