A shooting may have taken place on Kloosterstraat in Beverwijk around 6.45 pm. Police received a report of someone who heard shots and saw someone run away. The police found no injuries.

At 6.59 pm a report was distributed by Burgernet to track down the man who had run away. The police found the man and he has been arrested.
A police spokesperson said that a lot is still unclear and that a lot of investigation is being done. It is not yet known what preceded the shots heard. “We still have to clarify what exactly happened.”
