The 73-year-old man who was in Arnhem last night has been abused, is deceased. He was seriously injured after the assault and transferred to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries hours later, police say.
Police are looking for five people who may have been involved in the incident. According to Gelderland broadcaster the attackers are young people. It is not known what preceded the abuse.
The assault was on Spijkerstraat near Prins Hendrikstraat.
