The Ministry of Justice has launched a new paid service for access to the Internet and telephone calls in prisons.

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine introduced a new paid service for prisoners – telephone calls and Internet access. About it informs press service of the Ministry of Justice.

“We have launched a new service for prisoners – paid telephone calls and the use of the Internet (with content restriction),” the message says.

It is reported that in the Kiev SIZO 15 minutes of conversation will cost 10 hryvnia, telephone calls per month – 345 hryvnia, 15 minutes of the Internet – 16 hryvnia, Internet for a month (tablet) – 575 hryvnia.

Clarifies that all conversations of prisoners are automatically recorded.

It is noted that in this way the prisoners are given the opportunity to communicate with their relatives, corruption on “contraband” phones is removed, human rights are respected and the demand for physical visits is reduced, which is important in a pandemic.

Earlier it was reported that Denis Malyuska took to work in his department a life-sentenced criminal serving a sentence.
