End of november, the government sent an official SMS to encourage the French to download the application. A procedure framed. A few days ago, malicious people used a spoofing technique to send another SMS, with a similar sender name and a link shortcut via Bitly.
The latter referred to a page offering to install the application via an APK file (for Android smartphone), but the latter contained malware. The official TousAntiCovid account has posted a message to warn Internet users of the danger.
The site in question – covid (point) tousensemble (point) app – is no longer accessible and the shortened link via Bitly has been modified, it now refers to bonjour.stopcovid.gouv.fr (an official site).
