Atalanta striker Ruslan Malinovskyi made it clear that he never said that there are better players in Serie A than Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo. ‘I haven’t compared CR7 to anyone’.
The Ukrainian international said on Instagram that journalists misinterpreted his words about Ronaldo in an interview with Bauko Live.
In Italy, reports from the interview seemed to say that Malinovskyi would not vote Ronaldo as the best Serie A player: “The league has better players.”
But the Orobici striker said he never claimed there were better players than the Portugal international in the Italian top division.
“He asked who was the best Serie A player this year,” Malinovskyi said on social media. “We talked about Ronaldo.
“I said it was hard to say, a lot of the players played at a high level and I said that [Luis] Muriel at Atalanta and [Piotr] Zielinski is strong, but I’ve never compared Ronaldo to anyone.
“We all know what the players Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi, there won’t be any like them for the next 100 years! “
