Thodupuzha: The children found the accused who went into hiding after being convicted in the murder case of his father. With this, the absconding accused was sent back to jail. The accused in the murder case of Jose C. Kappan (75) in Thodupuzha Kappil in Karnataka was identified as Alaroth Siju Kurian (36) from Ommala. He was later transferred to Karnataka Police Taken into custody.

Jose C. Kappan, a resident of Sagar Kerodi in Shimoga district, went missing in December 2011. Police arrested Siju, a plantation worker, in connection with the incident. The investigation found that Jose was killed to cover the compost pit to rob the property. However, the trial court acquitted him due to lack of evidence.

Jose’s Sons Investigator A.C.P. SD approached the High Court with the help of Sharanappa. In March 2020, the High Court found Siju guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. But before sentencing, the accused went into hiding.
