New Delhi: The Trinamool Congress will retain power in West Bengal, according to an ABP News-C voter poll. In Tamil Nadu, the survey predicts that the DMK-led UPA alliance will lead the NDA in Assam and Puducherry.

In West Bengal, the survey predicts 154 to 162 seats for the Trinamool Congress. The main rival BJP will win 98 to 106 seats. In the 294-member assembly, the Congress-Left alliance will get 26 to 34 seats. According to the survey, Trinamool will get 43 per cent votes and BJP 37.5 per cent. In the last election, the BJP’s vote share was only 10.2 per cent. Mamata Banerjee has 48.8 per cent support for the Chief Minister’s post. BJP state president Dilip Ghosh received 18.7 per cent support and Sourav Ganguly 13.4 per cent.

In Tamil Nadu, the DMK-Congress alliance will win 162 seats in the 234-member assembly. The survey also predicts that the ruling AIADMK-BJP alliance will be limited to 64 seats. In the 2016 elections, the AIADMK-BJP alliance won 136 seats while the DMK-Congress alliance won 98 seats. The survey predicts that Kamal Haasan’s sons Neethi Mayyam will win four seats and the MMMK led by TTK Dinakaran and VK Sasikala 2-6 seats.

DMK president MK Stalin received 36.4 per cent support and EK Edappadi Palaniswamy 25.5 per cent support for the CM post. Deputy Chief Minister O. Paneer Selvam came in third with 10.9 per cent support. Shashikala, who will be released from jail later this month, has 10.6 votes in favor of becoming chief minister.

In Assam, the ruling NDA is projected to win 77 seats. According to the survey, the UPA will win 40 seats and the AIUDF seven in the 126 – member assembly. The BJP is projected to get 43.1 per cent of the vote.
In Puducherry, the poll predicts that the NDA will win 16 of the 30 seats, while the Congress-DMK alliance is projected to win 14 seats. The survey predicts a seat for children justice mayhem.
