make way for the final series!

On the eve of a play-off weekend, the last two weeks of the regular phase made it possible to give the final places in the general classification and therefore the posters for the final phase of the championship.

Melbourne City who evolves without Jamie Maclaren and Curtis Good, in the national team, did not do better than a point in six possible with an astonishing defeat against the Newcastle Jets which gives an extra slap to the Melbourne Victory. Newcastle taking four out of six points over the past week, the Big V ends red lantern.

In the top 6, the only change in the standings, Central Coast ended with a success against Western United which enabled him to overtake Brisbane, who fell at home against City runners-up Sydney FC. So now the play-offs with a first round which concerns the teams classified from fourth to sixth place. The Mariners, now third, will face the Macarthur Bulls when Brisbane receives Adelaide. The lower-ranked qualifier from the two matches will then face Melbourne City in the semi-finals, the other crossing swords with Sydney FC. Only unknown, the date of the final due to COVID-19 currently hitting Australia again.

Behind, the season is not over either for my teams classified from ninth to twelfth place since they must compete to recover one of the last two tickets for the national cup. The fact remains that here too, the date of this play-off (9e vs 12e and 10e vs 11e) has not yet been fixed.
