Due to a major signaling and points failure, a large part of train traffic in Gelderland was disrupted on Wednesday morning. There are currently no trains running to and from Arnhem, Nijmegen and Zutphen.
According to the NS the outage will last at least until 7.30 am.
The extra travel time can amount to more than two hours. Stop buses are used between Nijmegen, Nijmegen Heyendaal and Mook Molenhoek.
Train traffic between Utrecht Centraal and Geldermalsen is also currently disrupted by a signal failure. It is unclear how long this will take.
