The New York Red Bulls have qualified for the play-offs in the North American Major League Soccer (MLS). The future team of Austrian coach Gerhard Struber landed the decisive victory on Wednesday (local time) with a 1-0 win over New England Revolution. The goal in the Red Bull Arena was scored by Aaron Long in the 89th minute. The Styrian Daniel Royer was replaced by New York’s interim coach Bradley Carnell after about an hour.

While Gerhard Struber has to wait to start his new job as head coach of the New York Red Bulls because of the coronavirus pandemic, his new club reached the MLS play-offs with a narrow victory.
With 29 points they are currently in seventh place in the table. Gerhard Struber is currently stuck in his home town of Kuchl and has to wait for his debut in the “Big Apple”.
