Major fire in Apeldoorn gym: ‘Turn off ventilation!’ | Inland

The fire service was alerted around 11:15 p.m. after the fire was discovered by passers-by. The fire has now been scaled up to a ‘major fire’, also due to surrounding homes and catering, including a Chinese restaurant. An additional fire extinguisher will be added, the safety region reports. “A ‘stop line’ is being created to prevent the fire from spreading to the restaurant.”

There is also a lot of smoke. “Keep windows and doors closed and turn off the building ventilation!” this is how local residents are warned.

The cause of the fire is not yet clear. There are no reports of casualties.
