Several people were seriously injured in a major accident caused by a wrong-way driver on the A1 at the Hoevelaken junction on Saturday. The highway is closed in both directions for the investigation.

The wrong-way driver collided head-on with a car just after 10 p.m. Emergency services responded en masse. The police are calling for them to be given space.
