Mainfranken: Corona – five more deaths in the region

The corona virus claimed more lives in Main Franconia. In Main-Spessart, three people died as a result of the infection. These are seniors. The health department announced this on Friday afternoon. The number of deaths in Main-Spessart increases to 14. There are also more corona deaths in Schweinfurt. The health department reports two more cases. There is an 80 year old and an 88 year old. Both had previous illnesses. The number of deaths in Schweinfurt increases to 62. Meanwhile, the corona virus is spreading more slowly in the Würzburg area. The city and county 7-day incidences continued to decrease. In the city it is now 91 and 90 in the district. New corona cases continue to occur: The health department reports 59 more infections on Friday – 27 of them come from the city, 32 from the district. In Main-Spessart, the corona cases continue to rise at the level of the past few days. The State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL) has 40 new infections from there. The 7-day incidence is around 151. – Newly affected: – Marktheidenfeld State Realschule – Theodosius Florentini School Gemünden With 37 new cases, more corona infections are now reported from the Kitzingen district than last. According to the district office, this is due to the fact that test results were reported by the commissioned laboratory with a delay. Newly affected: – Paul-Eber-Mittelschule in Kitzingen:: Four students from a family with two households have tested positive. As things stand, five classes and numerous teachers are affected and in quarantine. The school is preparing homeschooling. Armin Knab Gymnasium Kitzingen In the Schweinfurt area, the corona infections are increasing more than before. The LGL reports 94 new infections – 65 of them from the district, 29 from the city. The 7-day incidences are around 165 in the county and 146 in the city.
