Mail delivery, reduced for several weeks to three days due to the coronavirus, will decrease to four days from Tuesday, announced
La Poste in a press release.

Until now, the postmen worked from Wednesday to Friday. But from this Tuesday, letters and parcels will be delivered from Tuesday to Friday. The next two weeks, the distribution will be from Monday to Thursday, Friday, May 1 and 8 being holidays, said the public group.

Nearly 10,000 postal contact points by the end of April

Another change, the daily press, distributed so far five times a week from Monday to Friday, will increase to 6 days from May 11, added La Poste, explaining that 3,000 additional people were mobilized. For local services, such as carrying meals,
drugs or social ties, they have been maintained from Monday to Saturday since the start of the crisis, the company said in its press release.

According to Swiss Post, 5,000 more post offices will be reopened by the end of April. Currently, 3,915 post offices, 2,985 municipal postal agencies and 2,113 postal points among merchants are open, for a total of 9,013 accessible contact points. The company hopes to reach the 10,000 postal contact points accessible by the end of the month.
