JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD commenting on the attitude of the French President Emmanuel Macron which cornered Muslims.
Mahfud MD considered that Macron was experiencing a crisis of failing to understand his statement which was considered to be cornering Muslims.
According to Mahfud, even though Islam is a religion full of mercy, its adherents will still be angry when their religion is insulted.

“Macron must know that Islam is a religion of mercy, but adherents of any religion will be angry if their religion is insulted,” Mahfud MD said through his Twitter account, Wednesday (28/10/2020) about 3 hours ago.
“If (Macron) does not understand it means he is experiencing a crisis of failure to understand,” continued the former head of the Constitutional Court
Mahfud MD also commented on the news related to the invitation of the French Ambassador to Indonesia by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
