Magnifying glass chosen by the new manager of Telecaribe

The Attorney General’s Office reported this Monday in a statement that opened a preliminary inquiry to the manager of Telecaribe, Mábel Astrid Moscote Moscote, for alleged ideological falsehood in documents that accredited her to take office.

According to the Atlantic Regional Prosecutor’s Office, it is being investigated whether Moscote “presented alleged illegitimate certifications issued by three private companies, which apparently endorsed her as director of communication media, human resources, and adviser on audiovisual content issues, to apparently comply with the requirements demanded in the channel’s statutes ”.

Telecaribe, in its regulations, asks that the channel manager have “experience, skills, abilities and knowledge in the television sector, more specifically in the production of television content.”

The disciplinary control body also linked the investigation to “members to be determined of the Regional Board and Accidental Commission” of the regional channel, in order to establish “if they verified the documentation provided.” These officials may request to be heard in a free version.

For this, the Public Ministry ordered the taking of evidence that would establish “the existence of the alleged fact, the possible implicated persons and determine if the conduct constitutes a disciplinary offense, or if there are grounds for exoneration of responsibility.”

EL HERALDO tried to talk to Moscote about this process, but it was not possible.

It should also be remembered that at the end of last July it was also known that the Fourth Criminal Court of the Barranquilla Circuit admitted a tutela action instituted by John Medina Bolaño against the Regional Administrative Board for the election of the new manager, in the face of a possible violation of the rules that regulated said call.

At the end of July, after his election, Moscote in dialogue with this medium, explained that during his period as manager he will focus on turning Telecaribe into a “financially sustainable channel”.

For that reason, it undertook a review of the current programming grid to promote quality products and interest for the general public and thus potentiate it as a commercial company.

“We will strengthen all the processes that have been going well and restructure those that need a new approach. There are things in the channel that are handled well and should continue to be done like this, ”he added.

Likewise, Moscote indicated that in his management plan he will also bet on improving the work environment, due to the fractures that have occurred within the regional channel.

“We are going to work together with the employees and the contractor,” he stated.
