Madrid’s 21distritos program brings free music and theater to every corner of the city

The project 21distritos brings culture and art to the neighborhoods of Madrid through different free proposals that can be enjoyed in the coming months in the different cultural centers and municipal halls of the city. Madrid thus becomes a great scenic space with a multidisciplinary cultural agenda where there is everything from art to circus, theater, dance or music to colloquiums and workshops. All of it for free.

In this 2022 the project starts with the proposal of the emerging artist Travis Birds with a talk and micro-concert format, which can be enjoyed on January 28 in Arganzuela (Casa del Reloj Cultural Center) and on January 29 in Latina (Paco de Lucía Auditorium and Concert Hall). Also in this space will perform on October 1 the saxophonist and singer Antonio Lizana, which will offer another concert on January 28 at the El Pozo Cultural Center, in Puente de Vallecas. Lichis, who returns with a solo project (April 1 at Casa del Reloj) and Montserrat M. Caballé, daughter of the legendary soprano (February 25 at the Nicolás Salmerón Cultural Center in Chamartín and 26 in Zazuar in Villa de Vallecas), are other musical offerings that can be enjoyed in the coming months. Concerts to which are added other initiatives such as the children’s Theater with puppets from the Ángeles de Rag company, ‘Hidden in the fountain’; Max Verdié’s family-friendly mind magic show ‘How to Be a Hero’; and the sample of circus, flamingo and theater by the Chicharrón company entitled ‘Sin Ojana’, among other interesting events.

Most of the shows are Free entry until full capacity, except in some cases in which it is necessary to reserve the place (also free) in advance directly at the cultural center. All information can be found on the page of 21distritos.
