Information from the vice president of the Institute of Health Administration (IASaúde), Bruna Gouveia, at the conference that is taking place, at this moment, to update the data related to the Covid-19 pandemic in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
To the 8 confirmed cases yesterday, today we add 1 more confirmed case of coronavirus infection.
Regarding the characterization of these confirmed cases, we have three male patients, six female patients. All of them stable.
For now, and as has been seen in recent days, confirmed cases have an epidemiological link to areas with local transmission of the disease, namely the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), the United Kingdom and the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region.
Health Secretary Pedro Ramos said that some of the measures were implemented in a timely manner and that this has prevented the spread of Covid-19, as is the case in other countries. “Restrictive measures to better control this situation in Madeira”.
