I.In the case of the missing Madeleine McCann, the police in Braunschweig apparently broke down in 2013. This emerges from the internal documents of German authorities, from which now the “Spiegel” and “Spiegel TV” quote.
Accordingly, today’s suspect Christian B. was informed early on that the investigators had linked him to the McCann case. B. had received a letter in which he should be invited as a witness.
This was preceded by a TV search on the program “Case number XY … unresolved”. A viewer then contacted the TV investigators by phone and named Christian B. as a possible suspect.

Maddie had disappeared from her family’s apartment in the Algarve in 2007, and the case is still being followed with great sympathy worldwide. B. again lived in Braunschweig in 2013. According to the “Spiegel” report, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) then asked the local criminal police there for more information about the man after receiving this information.
The people of Lower Saxony checked the computer and saw that Christian B. was known as a sex offender. An official then sent B. a witness witness, stating, among other things, “the missing person case Madeleine McCann”.
