Madagascar: two children died from malaria

Malaria is raging again, at the start of 2020, in Madagascar. Two children under the age of ten died of this terrible disease earlier this week in the Betroka region, a region located in the southern highlands.

In the North, the floods ravage the country, in the South, malaria marks its sad return. Two children, under the age of ten, died from this terrible disease. It was early January 2020. The caregivers could not do anything. The little victims were too weak when their families brought them.

One of the rescuers told Midi-Madagaskara : “People take about five days after the first symptoms appear before coming to a health center, they prefer to consult traditional healers first.”
